The Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, Anjani Kumar took to Twitter to announce an initiative by the Hyderabad police aimed to help the unemployed and jobless people in the city. The Hyderabad Police will be soon restarting a campaign called Job Connect. They intend to fill the gap between the employment-seekers and employers by working as a bridge between them.
Anjani Kumar said that modern police have evolved and care and compassion are core elements of policing these days. Under this initiative, the Hyderabad police coordinate with various companies with employment vacancies and bring them on board to offer jobs to the unemployed youth who have registered with the program. Every month, a police bus with a Hyderabad Police logo and a Job Connect flag, goes around the city in all four directions on a rotational basis, stopping at different places to provide an opportunity to the jobless youth for registering with the campaign and providing all the required details to them. Once they have the information, the police match the candidate’s skills with the job requirement and provide them a suitable job.
The Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said that the police is in touch with 100 companies for the purpose. Job Connect was first launched in 2017 and ever since had been successful in ensuring employment to a number of jobless youth. As many as 12000 unemployed people have benefited from this initiative of the Hyderabad Police. The main target of the campaign is to provide easy access to job opportunities to job-seekers in the city. Job Connect has been meeting its target and making it easier for the people of Hyderabad to get jobs of their choice.
