Narappa Movie Review: Narappa is the official Telugu remake of the 2019 acclaimed Tamil hit Asuran. The remake is made by Srikanth Addala and has Daggubati Venkatesh in the lead, along with Priya Mani, Karthik Rathnam, Rao Ramesh, Rajeev Kanakala and Nassar in the cast has released for a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video.
Narappa Movie Story:
Narappa (Venkatesh Daggubati), his wife, Sundaramma (Priyamani), his two sons and a small daughter along with his brother-in-law Basavayya (Rajeev Kanakala) live in a village in Ananthapur. The village head, Pandusamy plans to capture Narappa’s land and this does not go well with his elder son, Munikanna (Karthik Rathnam) who locks horns with Panduswamy. Calamity strikes and Narappa faces a huge loss. In an unexpected manner, even as Narappa stays calm, his younger son Sinnappa takes a violent route for revenge, leading to dangerous consequences. Was Narappa able to protect his family and lands? That forms the rest of the story of Narappa?
Narappa Movie Review:
Director Srikanth Addala has tried his best to modify the original storyline to make it more appealing to the Telugu audience, which is evident at a few places. Even though there are slight modifications, Srikanth Addala has not shaken the original soul of the film and it definitely needs to be appreciated and High dose of emotions and heart-rending music that incorporates well with the actual story.
The first half of Narappa is emotionally driven, with a power-packed interval block. Actor Venkatesh delivers his career-best performance playing the old Narappa and The second half also quite gripping, things would have been even better. The background score and Terrific performances stand out.
Narappa Movie Verdict:
Overall, Narappa is A Faithful Remake of Asuran, with a High dose of emotions and heart-rending music. Venkatesh Daggubati Breathed Life Into Narappa and delivered his career-best performance. Priyamani plays her supporting role perfectly, and She is the apt choice for the role make this movie a breezy watch this weekend on OTT.
