A video of a Floodwater Reaches Goddess idol in Balkampet Yellamma Temple, Hyderabad, has gone viral on social media. The Viral video shows the heavy flooding inside the Balkampet Yellamma Pochamma temple’s premises due to rainfall. The rainwater has reached the Goddess idol. Priests and other Balkampet Yellamma Temple staff can be seen in the video.
The Hyderabad is one of the worst-affected districts in Telangana. It has been witnessing incessant rain for the last three days. The state capital that experienced heavy downpour on Tuesday has received 20 cm rain in the last 24 hours. Earlier, a dramatic video of a man being washed away in the rushing floodwaters as onlookers shouted for help had surfaced online. Similar videos of vehicles being washing away in the floodwaters are also doing rounds on social media. In its latest forecast, the Met department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Telangana on Wednesday and Thursday. The Telangana state government has urged people to remain indoors.
