Amazon Prime Video recently announced its first Tamil anthology film titled Putham Pudhu Kaalai. On October 5, director Mani Ratnam and composer AR Rahman released Putham Pudhu Kaalai Trailer amid much expectation. Putham Pudhu Kaalai Movie Cast Suhasini Maniratnam, Rajiv Menon, Gautham Menon, Karthik Subbaraj, and Sudha Kongara Prasad have joined hands for this anthology. The two-minute-long Putham Pudhu Kaalai trailer starts off with a phone call and the caller says Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced 21 days lockdown in India. The Putham Pudhu Kaalai – five stories deal with different relationships and how they make it through the lockdown. Hope, love, marriage, and relationships are the themes of these stories. How each one of them deals with the lockdown forms the plot.
The interesting bit is the Putham Pudhu Kaalai web series is directed by Sudha Kongara, Gautham Menon, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Rajiv Menon, and Karthik Subbaraj. This is for the first time that something like this happened in Tamil. Amazon Prime Video has bankrolled ‘Putham Pudhu Kaalai’ and World Premiere October 16 only on Amazon Prime Video.

The Putham Pudhu Kaalai film was completely shot during the novel coronavirus pandemic. According to the press release, Putham Pudhu Kaalai Movie team followed the rules and regulations which was set by the Film Employees’ Federation of South India (FEFSI) during the shooting.
